Mark Perkins is a Principal of the firm and concentrates his practice in Estate Planning and Business Succession Planning. He has extensive advanced training as an estate planning counselor and therefore uses the most sophisticated techniques in the estate planning field. These techniques include living trusts, dynasty trusts, living wills, power of attorney documents, irrevocable life insurance trusts, charitable remainder trusts, minor trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, family limited partnerships and family foundations.
Mark Perkins currently holds licenses to practice law in the following jurisdictions: District of Columbia, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin.
Mark received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Elmhurst College with a double major in Urban Studies and Business Administration in 1987. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law in 1990.
Mark teaches and lectures on the topic of estate planning to lawyers, accountants, financial planners, and various consumer groups.  Mark regularly produces articles regarding current estate planning concerns. He appeared as a guest speaker regarding estate planning on “Money Talks” (AM 1530) radio program on several occasions. Mark is a member of the Illinois/Wisconsin Forum of Estate Planning Attorneys. He is also a member of the DuPage County Bar Association (DCBA).  He is the past Chair of the DCBA Estate Planning Committee and the past Chair of the DCBA Tax Committee.

The son of a career military man, Mark lived in Germany for about 10 years, and is fluent in German. He served as an intern minister with the Chicago Church of Christ, a Church in which he and his wife Troy are very active. Mark, Troy, and their sons, Kyle, Cole and Beau, reside in Oswego, IL.
