Courtney Bonstrom is an Attorney of the firm and concentrates her practice in Estate Planning and Elder Law. Courtney is passionate about designing and implementing custom estate plans for individuals and business owners, planning for beneficiaries with special needs, and advising on proper planning to assist elder clients and their family members on strategies to help protect and preserve their assets. Courtney currently holds licenses to practice law in the following jurisdictions: Illinois
Courtney received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Bethel University majoring in Business and Political Science and with a minor in History. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law.
Courtney regularly lectures on the topic of estate planning and Medicaid planning, to financial planners, accountants and various consumer groups, and has taught Business Entities and Regulations on a graduate level.
Courtney started her career practicing in the areas of estate planning, bankruptcy, immigration, contract, and civil litigation. Prior to joining Perkins & Zayed, P.C., Courtney also served as Brookstone Capital Management’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, and is experienced in the areas of Business and Securities Law.
Courtney enjoys travel, golfing, most outdoor activities, and spending time with her husband Lucas and their young daughters, Abigail, Lena, and Vivienne.
